Mom’s Divorce
This guest post from Doris Dillon
I felt so bad for my mom when she got divorced for the second time. I couldn’t believe it, but it was the first time she had ever lived alone in her whole life. She married my father right out of high school, and went from her parents’ house to his. When she divorced my dad, my sister and I were little kids, so she always had us there. Then she married our stepfather a few years later, while my sister and I were still living there. She wanted to gain her independence, but she was scared at first. My sister and I went to BestHomeSecurity.com and got her set up with a home security system so that she could feel safer living on her own. She was still nervous, but she felt better about things knowing that an alarm would go off if anyone tried to come into her home. It’s been a year now, and I am happy to report that she is doing great on her own. Her personality has really come out and she seems so well adjusted. All she needed was a little push.
